In this episode, we are talking about all things dating, dating as an imperfect human, dating when life is messy, and dating when we may or may not be in the right place for it. I chose this topic because in a lot of my sessions, I meet people who are recovering from some pretty difficult mental, emotional episodes or breakdowns, and a lot of them are eager to dive back into dating. I like to caution them against being too impulsive and waiting before they get into anything that may jeopardise the progress they’ve made, but I really wanted to discuss this with someone who is an expert on the subject.
And to discuss my concerns, I decided to invite Clara Artshwager who is a dating coach. Now, the reason I wanted her so much for this interview was because a lot of her articles have resonated with me which is (I think) partly because she is a great writer but also because she writes with this raw honesty and shares her learnings in a very unapologetic manner. You can relate to her, want to learn from her, feel vulnerable as you do it, and also feel like you’re growing with every bit that she shares.
So, let’s dive in!
