This one is strictly for those trying to manifest from a place of misery.
We are all engaged in pursuing our dreams and ambitions in the hopes of creating the life we’ve always wanted. Wouldn’t it be great to mobilize Universe’s considerable power to sway things in our favor?
As it turns out, the Universe is more than happy to come to your aid. You just have to create the right kind of environment for the powers to take hold.
Now, how the heck do we do that!?
For this, let’s review what Abraham Hicks (the true master of the law) has told us about manifestation.
“Keep yourself in the place of FEELING good. Reach for the thought that FEELS better and watch what happens.”
“Anytime you FEEL good, you’ve found vibrational alignment with who you are.”
Ask once, believe you have received, and all you have to do to receive is to feel good.
– Rhonda Byrne (The Secret)
The emphasis has always been on feeling good. If you want to manifest abundance, you’ve to feel as if you already have everything you want.
Except, the problems is that if your life really, really sucks, chances are you won’t be much good at FEELING anything other than miserable. I am sure there are people who manage to be upbeat and happy during times of trial, but those people are few and far between.
What about the people who can’t disconnect from their reality, and find it impossible to feel good when there are unresolved issues in their life?
You want growth that endures. The same way, you want to be able to align your vibration with that of the universe, not for 2 seconds or a day, but for as long as it takes for you to manifest your deepest desires.
Because, Abraham Hicks has also mentioned, that when you let negative thoughts seep in you go back to square one. You have to constantly redirect your thoughts back to a place of (you guessed it!) feeling good. The problem is that unless we stop living our lives and lock ourselves up in a bubble, we are going to have a struggle with the whole ‘constantly feeling good’ bit.
So, forget manifestation for now. You won’t manifest squat by forcing yourself to pretend everything is good while there is a tumult of emotions wreaking havoc inside you. The only thing to do is heal!
Heal what’s broken in your world or at least, process the pain so that it doesn’t loom like a dark cloud over every new day.
If you don’t, you’ll force yourself to feel good, you’ll slip up, you’ll get mad at yourself and indulge in some pretty heavy self-flagellation and, it’s on with round 2. Instead of repeating this vicious cycle, do one better by seeking solutions that will actually last.
You must make your peace with your past before you can reach a place in your life healthy enough for you to feel good. Otherwise, your only option is to FORCE yourself to smile and laugh through a day. The moment you are confronted with any reminder of the fact that it is in fact, not all hunky dory, you’ll be hit by a wave of sadness and misery. So, the whole feeling good may work for people who are manifesting from a comfortable place in their life, but the formula will fail if you’re suffering.
The suffering has to be dealt with before hope and belief can take root.
I have read so many other articles from people who have successfully used the law, and you know what they all had in common?
The writer admitted to spending days and even weeks just crying and sobbing their heart out. They had to let out a lot of negativity before they could make room for anything else. I went through something similar in my life.
There was a period of several months when I spent my time between working at the office and pretending to be whole and healthy then, coming through the door of my apartment and falling apart in a sobbing, exhausted pathetic heap of humanity. I really went to town on my feelings! None of them good.
Every single day, I would wallow in my feelings of utter misery. I used to talk to my dead dog and I would write pages and pages about everything I was feeling, and it was like the most painful form of catharsis. Eventually, I was absolutely empty.
I was so apathetic to everything. That’s when I started putting my pieces back together. I was aware of the Law of attraction, but I had never even tried or wanted to work on it. But in the days following my insane bout of misery, suddenly it was the only thing I could think about!
It was like my angels nudged me towards the book and whispered in my ears, “It’s time!”
I have since manifested so many things in my life. It hasn’t been all success and happiness, but the things that were most important to me did manifest into reality.
Accept Yourself and take responsibility for your actions. Let go by forgiving yourself. Only this will allow the pain to stop so that you can move on with the rest of your life.
Now, onto the second ingredient in this life-altering magic recipe.
If you’re even a little familiar with the law and its premise, you already know about how crucial gratitude is in the process of manifestation.
Also, based on what some of the recent studies have discovered, gratitude has a major role to play in our mental health. In a study published by UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Magazine, it was discovered that people who wrote gratitude letters reported significant improvement in their mental health.
What does this mean to someone trying to manifest from a place of misery?
The law teaches us that the secret to manifesting is feeling good. To feel as you would if you had already manifested your dreams into reality. So, someone who is struggling with emotional issues can channel the powers of gratitude to feel better. They can heal little by little and add to the process by counting their blessings.
“We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts our conscious of our treasures.”
– Thornton Wilder
If you’ve lost someone in your life, you should mourn their loss. You should feel the agony and give yourself time to recover from it, but once the pain begins to diminish and it will, you can channel the powers of gratitude to strengthen your recovery.
I cannot emphasize enough how impossible it is for someone going through a major trauma to just instantly feel good!! So, the only solution you have is to come out of the hole life has pushed you into before you decide to do anything else.
Here’s how the process should go –
Confront your loss, defeats, and all your past damage
Give yourself time to feel all that you need to. Cry if you must. Wallow in the consequent emotion. Don’t suppress anything or any progress you make will forever be on shaky ground.
Forgive yourself and others. Practice self-love. Consider the damage that other people have caused to your psyche with compassion. Let the past go.
Actively practice gratitude. Force yourself to write down at least 5 things you are grateful for every day. It may seem like a joke when your whole life is falling apart around you but eventually, the powers of gratitude will work their magic into your life.
If you’re a person with even a minuscule amount of sensitivity, you can’t just feel good to command. It takes time and practice. You must heal the open wounds before making any giant leaps.
Happy Healing & Happy Manifesting!
